Christy Marie is taking a restorative approach to an industry that is often all about transformation. Through her work in restorative aesthetics, professional education, and advocacy, the Beverly Hills-based entrepreneur believes that beauty work should help people feel more like themselves, not less. As the founder of Posh Beauté, Christy has spent more than a decade working in permanent makeup and has developed a specialized practice in paramedical pigmentation. Her work includes areola restoration for breast cancer survivors following mastectomy, scar camouflage for surgical and traumatic scars, and brow restoration for individuals experiencing hair loss. Each procedure is tailored to the individual, taking into account skin characteristics, anatomy, scar tissue, medical history, and personal goals.
For Christy, however, the technical outcome is only one part of the experience.
“Beauty can sometimes become this endless pursuit of fixing ourselves, and I don’t want my work to contribute to that. I want it to feel restorative rather than corrective,” she expresses.
That concept has turned Posh Beauté from a traditional beauty practice into a space where aesthetics and emotional care come together. Many of Christy’s clients carry experiences that extend beyond what is visible, such as a cancer diagnosis, surgery, accident, medical treatment, or years of insecurity about a particular part of their appearance. Her approach emphasizes individualized artistry alongside a trauma-informed environment where clients can feel respected and comfortable.
Furthermore, Christy also sees an opportunity to influence the beauty and wellness industry as a whole. Through professional training, speaking engagements, and education, she encourages practitioners to consider the person behind every procedure and understand the emotional circumstances that can accompany restorative services.
“Sometimes we can’t fix everything for someone, nor should we pretend we can. But we can listen. We can make them feel respected. We can give them good information and remind them they don’t have to navigate every difficult thing alone. To me, that is part of healing too,” she says.
Christy is also a mother of four sons, two of whom are autistic, and motherhood has significantly influenced the way she sees leadership and advocacy. Raising children with different needs has taught her to be flexible, listen carefully, and recognize that progress and support do not look the same for everyone. Those experiences inspired the creation of the Elevate Autism Foundation, a nonprofit focused on autism awareness, education, advocacy, resources, and community partnerships. Through Elevate, Christy is helping families navigate the overwhelming process of researching therapies, understanding available resources, advocating for their children, and finding community.
“My vision for Elevate is much larger than a traditional resource organization. Eventually, I want to create a physical home for it, a place where a family walks in and immediately feels they are in the right place,” Christy states.
As her professional career continues to grow, so does the scope of her work. “Professionally, I’m also moving deeper into restorative and paramedical tattooing,” she says, signaling an even greater focus on the specialized services of her practice.
For Christy Marie, restoration is about meeting people where they are, offering expertise with empathy, and creating spaces where individuals and families can feel supported. Through Posh Beauté, professional education, and Elevate Autism Foundation, she is building a body of work based on connection, dignity, and the possibility of feeling at home in yourself again.
